The RE Council: a unique organisation
Why does RE matter?
More than ever, as society becomes ever more diverse and religious extremism dominates the news agenda, young people need to understand the different religions and worldviews that are common in Britain today. The RE Council helps to achieve this by ensuring pupils are being provided with high quality, academically rigorous RE at school. We work to engage with the DfE, Ofsted and parliamentarians to ensure that they better understand the value of the subject and the challenges facing it.
Why donate to the RE Council?
The RE Council needs funding to be able to continue this important work. We need to cover our core running costs, continue the crucial work of the RE Policy Unit and working on projects that promote high-quality RE in schools, such as the RE teacher recruitment campaign and the RE Quality Mark.
Why we need your support
It is only by people like you supporting the RE Council that we can achieve our goals of ensuring a cohesive, compassionate society, where those of all backgrounds are able to communicate with each other and where wider public discourse can reflect the reality of religion and belief today. Your donation will help support the sustainability of the RE Council and ensure that we can continue championing this vision for many years to come.
