Teachers to support the development of RE resources for RVE in Wales

The statutory Religion, values and ethics (RVE) guidance for Wales was published January 2022. RVE is the new name for Religious Education in the New Curriculum for Wales, which is being implemented from September 2022.

The Welsh Government is working in partnership with the Wales Association of SACREs (WASACRE) to create a suite of national online Professional Learning resources to support practitioners, and a team of experienced teachers, drawn from schools across Wales are creating these resources. The final resources will be available online from April 2022 and will provide support in the use of the curriculum guidance, and help in planning local delivery of this vital subject.

Utilising the skills of practitioners, with support from WASACRE, we will create practical resources which explain the legislative and pedagogical changes in the new curriculum as they relate to RVE.
