The Religious Education Council of England and Wales is pleased to announce the appointment of a new patron for the charity, Gurmail Malhi. Mr Malhi is President of Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall, the largest Gurdwara organisation outside of India, and is involved in a range of charitable activity.

Gurmail Malhi said, “As the President of Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall, I feel privileged to be a Patron of the Religious Education Council. I look forward to making a difference and participating in their important work on education policy around faith.”

REC CEO, Rudolf Eliott Lockhart, commented, “I am delighted to have Gurmail Malhi appointed as a patron of the RE Council. His links with Britain’s Sikh community and his long history of supporting charitable work make Mr Malhi an excellent addition to the RE Council’s patrons.”
