ACT membership is open to all Christians who work in or care passionately about education in England. ACT seeks to inspire all Christians in education confidently to live out their faith day by day, positively influencing the culture, values and spiritual environment of their place of work and, ultimately, transforming the nation for the Kingdom of God.

Members of ACT include teaching assistants, student teachers and NQTs, teachers and lecturers, head teachers and principals, HMI and Ofsted inspectors, school governors, diocesan and local authority education advisors, and schools workers. There are also corporate members. ACT members receive a termly Journal and regular email updates on education issues. Members are encouraged to support one another in prayer and the sharing of expertise.

Contributions to RE

ACT contributes to religious education primarily through its role as an organisation for Christians working in education. Its print and electronic communications provide a mixture of helpful information and practical tips for educators. ACT strives to help Christians in education reflect on, and apply, insights in the Bible and pedagogic research to their own professional situation.
