The Policy Unit met with Kim Leadbeater MP for Batley and Spen. She was very supportive and offered to take further action to support our campaign. She subsequently tabled four parliamentary questions that asked the minister about bursaries for trainee secondary teachers of RE, the societal value of RE for young people, its value in terms of skills and what meetings officials have had with representatives of teachers of RE. visited a school and saw their work in RE and has the date of SACRE in her diary.
