The REC is following Government Guidelines and moving to an online method of working. Staff have been asked to work from home and events are being moved online, postponed, or – as a last resort – cancelled. This will not stop us from carrying on the work of the REC. We can still be contacted over email, on the phone and through Twitter, but we ask colleagues to please refrain from sending any post for the foreseeable future.
We are investigating means of holding our AGM on May 7th 2020 virtually. We are asking authorised representatives of our member organisations to please keep the date free and wait for un update in due course. We intend to run elections to the Board, present annual reports and accounts and allow time for members to speak, looking for technological solutions to ensure we cover the same elements as we would at a physical AGM. We intend to continue the work of our committees and will hold meetings online where appropriate. We have temporarily suspended RE Quality Mark assessment visits, recognising that schools are shutting, although we are aiming to move to an online assessment system shortly: more information can be found (here).
We wish you all the very best in this troubling time, if you have any questions please feel free to get in touch.
