Venerable Bede Young Ambassadors question their peers
During our personal development lesson we took sheets to the rest of our year group to ask the question; why should we learn about other people’s beliefs and values? We ventured around the school surveying around 40 individuals, including teachers, about their views.
We chose to ask this during our personal development lesson rather than our RE lessons because people can speak more freely about RE outside of their lessons about their views... Also we made sure that the responses were anonymous. We received an overwhelming, varied response from our peers and decided that the best way to showcase this task would be through a display on our RE corridor. The display now is hung proudly on our specialised ‘RE news’ notice board.
