Islamic Academy

noneThe Islamic Academy aims to make faith the basis for all branches of knowledge, to provide an open forum for the exchange of ideas between Muslims and others, and to revise educational curricula in the light of Islamic concepts. It seeks to achieve social harmony by exploring common grounds and initiating dialogues among different faiths.

Contributions to RE

The Islamic Academy contributes to religious education mainly by organising conferences and lectures on religious, moral, spiritual and educational issues for teachers and scholars. It publishes books, runs short courses and supports research on religious education. It also publishes a journal, Muslim Education Quarterly, that explores various educational issues including religious education. In addition to this the Islamic Academy trains teachers involved in the teaching of Islam in British schools.
